Review Highlights:

"The result is a novel with the appeal of both a unique concept and a cast of characters embroiled in the classic drama of a love triangle.  David Boultbee's The Gender Divide is, first and foremost, an engaging story, but does an excellent job as well in following in the tradition of science fiction as a mirror—not for the future—but for the present."

"In the tradition of other socially-conscious science fiction, Boultbee's novel incorporates contemporary issues of gender disparities into a future world, without (thank god) getting too preachy."

"Descriptions of biological enhancements and Ryan Peters's weaponized "nanites" are detailed and believable, but just as believable are the portrayals of social and psychological changes in a radically different world."

"this is one book that Sci-Fi readers are going to want to grab a copy of"

"The storyline stands on it’s own in a genre plagued by copycat types of books, and The Gender Divide is an engaging read right from start to finish. It includes elements of sci-fi, romance, and includes enough action to keep you tied into the story right from the start."

"a Sci-Fi book that fans of that genre won’t want to miss"

Review Highlights:

"Boultbee’s fascinating twist on the oft-visited futuristic themes of both longevity and gender roles sets this up to be a thoroughly engrossing read."

"These sudden changes in pace helped to keep this reader hooked, staying up till 2 am to find out what happened."

"I also enjoyed the interaction between the one man and three women, effectively mirroring the issues being enacted in the wider community, although we only see snatches of that world as the novel reaches its climax."

"I am really hoping that he will continue to write about this arresting take on sexual politics and its impact on his world, and I shall be looking out for his next novel."

"I like this writer's style, he gets you into the characters, hits the floor running and it never stops, and when this story ends, you'll hope he's planning on writing another, and another."

"It's extraordinary reading, a book that will live in your thoughts long after you've read it, the possibilities, oh the possibilities. I highly recommend The Gender Divide to anyone who likes to be immersed in a fine story, written by an author that I am certain will become well-known."

Review Highlights:

"Suspense and intrigue abound page after page."

"Ryan’s character was very believable within the context of his role. He was strong and smart but not overbearing."

"The dynamic between Ryan and the leading female characters really made the story pop, and the role reversal was a great concept."

I really enjoyed the excerpt (great concept and the future-tech is convincing without being overpowering).  I'd also like to offer a thumbs-up for the cover art.
